Campus Minister

Amanda Tate Braun

Originally from St. Louis, I actually graduated from the University of Kansas (but don’t hold that against me). After college, I worked in church youth ministry in Colorado for six years, then moved back to the Kansas City area to work for Youthfront, a Christian youth summer camp. Getting married (to husband Ross) brought me to Manhattan in Fall 2015, which led me to Wildcat Ministries. I love leading this group–it feels like a family!

I am currently a sophomore at K-State majoring in English- creative writing, with a minor in Spanish, and hoping to do something with art. During my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, drawing, reading, and catching up on sleep and Netflix shows. The light atmosphere and small group environment are a few things I’ve really grown to enjoy about Wildcat Ministries. They are part of the reason why my first year experience at K-State was a memorable one.

I’m from Olathe, KS, and this is my 9th year living in Manhattan (I’ve given up hope of leaving). After finishing my undergraduate here I worked for Young Life for a number of years before returning to grad school last spring. I got involved with Wildcat Ministries through Amanda, who I worked with at Youthfront Camp in Kansas City for two summers.
